ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

• The department has two education programs of Architectural&Decorative Arts program, as primary (day) and secondary (evening).

• The vacancy of this program is 110 students, 55 for primary (day) and 55 for secondary (evening) education programs.

• There is a workshop for mosaic and glass, a workshop for glass fusion, and a workshop for ceramic firing as facilities in this program. A ceramic making workshop in the Art Faculty can be used by the students. There are also a computer lab for drawing programs (AutoCAD, 3DMax) and a technical drawing workshop.

• The aim of the program is that giving education on arts, design, architecture and interior architecture, compatible with art education and training to qualified employee on architectural and decorative arts.

• The students graduated from this program can be employed on decoration, restoration, and landscaping, ceramic arts in governmental institutions such as Minister of Cultural Affairs, Directorate of Foundation and public authorities or private and public institutions related with arts such as museums. They can continue to education with the examination (ÖSYM) to Ceramic Design and Production, Photography, Traditional Turk Handcrafts, Graphic Design, Architecture and Environmental Design programs of the faculties.
