ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

• The department consists of only Landscape and Ornamental Plants Program as primary (day) education.

• Total capacity of the program is for 40 students.

• Theoretical and computerized classes of the program are carried in SVS facilities and the practical classes in greenhouses and laboratories of Agriculture Faculty in the university.

• The aim of this program is that training of a technical staff who responsible from applications and accountings, communicate between the landscape architect and workers at landscape applications, and has sufficient knowledge on sectorial issues , such as growing the ornamental plants, arboriculture, maintenance of parks and gardens, land arrangements and application of the projects etc.

• The graduated students can be employed at Minister of Agriculture, public intuitions of the agriculture, public authorities, private companies deal with landscape applications, landscape architectural offices, producing firms of the ornamental plants etc. The students can also continue to education by the examination (ÖSYM) to Horticulture, Horticulture Production and Marketing, Forest Engineering, Urban Design and Landscape Architecting programs of the faculties.
